Collective Effort: ‘Electoral process key to progress’

PPP-led government was fully aware to its responsibility and facilitating people in the country, says Shazia Marri.

ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Shazia Marri has said that continuation of electoral process would help achieve progress and prosperity of the country.

Talking to a television channel, she said PPP-led government was fully aware to its responsibility and facilitating people in the country. Shazia said that the present government and opposition were playing their role for making the upcoming elections free, fair and transparent. She said that elements targeting Karachi, wanted to disturb peace in the country, adding that action would be taken against the defunct organisations. Replying to a question, PPP MNA said that there are challenges which should be tackled with the collective efforts of all parties and stakeholders. She said that consensus for the caretaker set-up should be made with all the political parties and stakeholders for the continuity of democratic system in the country.
