Balochistan Leaders: Women should play active role in politics

The seminar was organised by NP to mark world women’s day at Quetta Press Club on Friday.

QUETTA: Speakers at a seminar advocating equal rights for women called upon women to take active part in the political process and struggle for their rights.

The speakers, included National Party (NP) President Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Abdul Qadir Agha of Pashtoon Khwa Milli Awami Party, Advocate Agha Hassan from the Balochistan National Party (Mengal), Raza Wakeel of Hazara Democratic Party, NP leader Yasmin Lehri, Umm Kalsoom Baloch, Advocate Sabira Islam and others expressed these views in a event organised by NP to mark world women’s day at Quetta Press Club on Friday.

They all shared the view that the country cannot develop unless women, who make up more than half of the country’s populace, are given equal rights as men.
