Out of the four terrorists, three belong to the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), while one is associated with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Earlier, Malik had lashed out against the Punjab government and said that all headquarters of the LeJ were in Punjab and there was no Shia-Sunni conflict in Karachi. He had also asked why the Punjab government was not taking action against the LeJ.
Karachi writhed in pain on Monday as scores of sobbing families buried their loved ones following Sunday’s carnage at Abbas Town which left around 48 dead and more than 200 injured.
Cities and towns went into shut-down mode as protests and rallies swept the streets in an outpouring of anger against the terrorist attack in Karachi’s Abbas Town on Sunday.

@Mohsin My dear all is rhetoric. Need to discuss root causes of difference with accepting truth. Such have culture need to avoid in public that causing yearly human killings. You should ask religious scholars to prove their belief enable people follow them. This is a Qama striking on my head not to discuss openly and reject falsehood.
Most of these religious terrorist atrocities are committed by mostly local Pakistani, and some foreign, Wahhabi/Salafi/Deoband/Sunni extremist militant groups.
Unfounded conspiracies and paranoid xenophoic religious nationalist delusions can't hide the past militant misdeeds of the state and the now large and growing crisis of the acceptance of ideological bigotry and violent beliefs within Pak's majority.
4 arrested and 5 will be released from the court.
@mazharuddin:
At least our minority killings was done by mobs until the terrorists took over lately. Unlike India or Israel where minority killings are arranged by the goverment.
@shamima its happening since 1501 when safavi ismael start it.
this is fake stories about sharmilla faroouqi today
They are doing the way safavid of persia done in the past when they killed and converted sunnis to shiaism ...
why not shoot them like quetta incident.
@indian hindu: No reason for you to complain when your parliament and Mumbai is attacked then...
There is also need to address root causes of sectarian hatred and extremism which is being ignored since very long in spite of drawing attention through national and international media. The denial to fact or overlooking fact is crime. There need to discuss religious activities which create hatred and cause yearly killing of innocent people. Shame to those religious scholars who overlook human killings and prefer their such religious activities that are the main cause of such terror and blood bath. Also shame to those socalled writers of the sects who address international issues and show their rhetoric but overlook the fallacies of their own sect and group while this menace shaking the very foundation of the country. There also seem international conspiracy, a group seems involve to defame Wahabi sect in west while Wahabi doctrine nurtures human beings having high moral character, straight forward and honest. Media should also avoid one sided news, the killing of both sides should come in picture. Karachi is burning since long due to Sunni sectarian killing that should not be overlooked. Further all killers and involved in burning buses, trucks etc. should also be brought to justice. There should have inter sect discussions and debates on media enable people realize truth about religion and be able to reject falsehood. Also need to inquiry the sub standard material seems to be used in construction, the problem citizens of Karachi facing.
@Mohsin: yes of course and we r proud:)
@Mohsin: kuch bhi........
These attacks are obuiosly Nato and Indians trying to start a civil war in Pakistan.
Think about it. Why does the superreligious TTP only attack fellow pashtuns and other pakistanis and not the socalled kafir troops in Afganistan? Cause they are not who they claim to be. TTP is just an internetorganization like Al Qaida.
First Nato&Co droneattack randomly in Waziristan and then the very same Nato&Co hire terrorists to retaliate in Pakistan. They will be tought a lesson. Karzais reign&Nato cheap tactics will only end when Paksitan goes back into Afganistan.
BE AWARE fellow pakistanis: As Nato is withdrawing the attacks in Pakistan will increase. The next step will be socalled SHIAterrorist groups attacking sunnis! 100%
Our milatry and intelligence know this but is prevented to act by the goverment!
The Shia-Sunni divide has always been there but of late it is being exacerbated to create deep divisions and set the population at each others throats. It does not take a degree in rocket science to figure this out. If I were an enemy of Pakistan (and we do have many external enemies) I would do my utmost to exploit any weakness that I saw in Pakistani society.
Attempts to create divisions between the two major groups of Islam is happening globally too: Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon.
Unfortunately our leadership is not alert enough or too absorbed with electoral politics to recognise these challenges until it is too late. Security services are inept and are not provided guidance. Counter terrorism is the need of the hour. This is a time for a national unity and a caretaker Government with elements from all political parties to take charge. Elections and democracy mean nothing unless people are safe and secure in their homes.
@citizen: Question is Who paid them, how much doesn't matter...
What about the terrorist caught on the spot by the people with remote device and other things, and handed over to rangers...??? Where is he..??? . When he was handed over to rangers, he said that I'll be in 3-4 days...
Present them to the court so that they can go home.
RM is looking for a safe & Easy way OUT
After a few days we will listen the terrorists ran away.
how much were they paid to do as you say ??
Kindly show their faces otherwise no one will believe you RM.
