Hockey: PHF extends Lahore trials for U-16 Asia Cup

Since it will be impossible to finish the trials in two days, they have extended the Lahore leg till February 22.

Around 280 players appeared on the opening day of trials at the National Stadium.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has extended the Lahore leg of trials for the U-16 Asia Cup squad after receiving a warm response from youngsters who turned up in unexpected numbers.

According to a PHF official, around 280 players appeared on the opening day of trials at the National Stadium. He said since it will be impossible to finish the trials in two days, they have extended the Lahore leg till February 22.  The trials for Sindh and Balochistan have now been pushed to February 24- 25. The official added the purpose of the trials was to discover talent and prepare a strong team for the tournament, which will be played in Singapore in April.
