LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed a petitioner seeking ban on political parties led by dual nationals to argue on the maintainability of his petition.

Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh of the LHC asked the petitioner Advocate Muhammad Afaq to argue on February 19. The petitioner had requested the court to cancel registrations of all political parties led by people having dual nationalities. He said that Dr Tahirul Qadri was heading the Pakistan Awami Tehrik in Pakistan while also holding a Canadian nationality. The petitioner also prayed the court to stop Imran Khan from joining Qadri.
