LAHORE:

National Highways and Motorway Police (N-5 Central) have launched a special campaign against unauthorised CNG kits fitted in vehicles.

N-5 Central Zonal Commander Rai Altaf Hussain directed officers to only allow vehicles which had certified CNG kits to proceed on highways. He told them that CNG cylinders on roof tops should be discouraged.

Also, N-5 Central Zone officers have been directed to strongly discourage improper loading of tractor-trolleys with sugarcane.

All SSPs have been directed to personally monitor the campaigns in order to ensure their success. Mobile Education Units of Central Zone have also been directed to visit bus terminals to explain the drive to stakeholders.
