Delegates at a multi-party conference roundly condemned the spate of sectarian and political killings in Balochistan on Saturday.
BNP Mengal’s Jahanzaib Jamaldini, Hazara Democratic Party Chairman Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Jamaat-e-Islami provincial ameer Abdul Mateen Akhwandzada, PML-N’s Naseebullah Bazai, Anjuman-e-Tajiran Balochistan’s president Abdul Rahim Kakar and other political and religious leaders expressed concern over the killings, kidnappings for ransom and dumping of mutilated bodies.
They said the people of Balochistan had lost confidence in the federal government and felt increasingly exploited over the last 65 years.
The speakers said that though they were not in favour of governor’s rule in Balochistan, it was the right option for restoring order in the province.
Some speakers talked about international conspiracies to destroy the province and urged religious scholars to help thwart plots to stoke sectarian hatred.
Other speakers warned against attempts to ‘derail’ the “already late train of democracy” in the country.
There was a unanimous demand to stop all kinds of security operations in Balochistan and recover all missing persons.

Operations against the organizations like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Sahaba, Lashkar-e- Taiba have been carried out in the past in parts of Balochistan. Results have been the same and would remain same untill the basic ideology is distorted. you can kill as many as you want but you cannot win untill you intersect the ideology. Everybody in Pakistan knows that sectarian violence takes birth in the southern Punjab and it cannot be stopped untill and unless an operation is carried out there. Baloch has suffered from both sides i.e. the center and the province. Please let the Baloch live in peace and not in PIECES. By Baloch I mean the geographic Baloch, the whole popalus of Balochistan including Pathan, Hazara, Punjabi, Sindhi and Siraiki. Please create an environment where the tree of reconciliation grow and give fruits.
CJ Ifthikar Chaudry has passed remarks numerous times that the 'agencies' should rein their death squads and stop disappearing people of Balochistan. Who should take action against the state institutions if they are themselves promoting violence. I request friends to please read the latest human rights commission report for a broader sense of comprehension.
Security Forces should eliminate the criminals and terrorists before they reach the colluding courts. Most of the high profile killers are sponsored by Political parties with dedicated Lawyers panels who are available when ever needed. These lawyers are equally responsible for crimes along side Politicians.
Every Political Party has death Squads and they donot want the Security Forces to take action against them.General Public is very happy ever since the political government has been winded up. Since then there is visible drop in crimes specially kidnapping for ransom and other serious crimes. Commoners like us wants that strict actions should be taken against criminals specially sponcered by Political parties and Militant organizations.
