Protect and serve: NHMP officers rescue kidnapped boy

The men confessed that they had kidnapped the boy for ransom, according to the press release.

LAHORE: National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) officers rescued a child who had been kidnapped from school in Hafizabad here on Wednesday. Officers Kashif Akhlaq and Kamran Shehzad, of NHMP M-2 South, were on speed checking duty at Kala Shah Kaku when they noticed that a man was holding a gun to a boy’s head in an approaching car, according to a press release.

The officers chased the vehicle and stopped it, arresting Nadeem and Yasir, residents of Lahore. The boy, Hamza Mansoor, told the NHMP officials that he had been taken from near his school and they had threatened to kill him if he raised an alarm. The men confessed that they had kidnapped him for ransom, according to the press release. Mansoor was taken home to his family in Hafizabad, while the accused were handed over to the police.
