Second Phase: 9,000 students in Multan get laptops

This is the second laptop distribution in the division and altogether 20,000 laptops have been distributed uptil now.

Sharif announced that 5,000 laptops would be distributed among college and university teachers across Punjab.

Earlier at a ceremony at the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), 9,000 laptops were distributed among students in Multan. Of these, 7,150 were BZU students, and the rest from various colleges across the division.


Appreciating the increasing number of girl students, the chief minister said that for the PML-N, the biggest counter-terrorism strategy was to educate and empower the youth without discrimination.

This was the second laptop distribution in the division. Altogether, 20,000 laptops have been distributed. During Tuesday’s ceremony, 4,700 girls and 4,300 boys received the laptops.

The chief minister said that extremist violence could only be eliminated through education.

Sharif announced that 5,000 laptops would be distributed among college and university teachers across Punjab.

The ceremony was attended by more than 30,000 students.
