JI will jointly contest the next elections with PML-F, said its leader Merajul Huda after holding talks with PML-F’s Imtiaz Sheikh at latter’s residence.
The religious JI is the third party after JUI-F and SUP that has decided to go for seat adjustments with PML-F at a provincial level.
However, the leaders of both parties were reluctant to share details about the constituencies from where coalition will vie for parliamentary seats.
"A meeting will soon be held under the leadership of Pir Sibghatullah Rashdi to work out the details," said Huda.
Unlike PML-F, the Jamaat has pockets of support base across Karachi. It had gone into almost a political oblivion by deciding to boycott last election.
