Health facilities: DHQ Jhangiwala to be opened in Feb

The project will be completed at a cost of Rs3 billion.

BAHAWALPUR: The district headquarters hospital in Jhangiwala is expected to be opened for patients in February, Medical Superintendent Aziz Ahmad said on Monday. He said construction work at the hospital had been completed and equipment and machinery were being installed. The project, he said, will be completed at a cost of Rs3 billion. Talking to reporters, Dr Ahmad said that beds would be placed in the wards soon. He said the appointment of doctors, paramedic staff and workers had also been completed. The chief minister was taking special interest in the completion of this project, he said, adding that a daily report was being sent to the Health Department.  The hospital will be inaugurated by the chief minister himself, the MS added. To a question, he said that all the ventilators at Bahawal Victoria Hospital’s emergency unit were functional.
