Accidents and disputes: Three killed in separate incidents in Swat

Three men were killed in separate incidents in Swat on Friday.


A man was shot dead by his father-in-law in Gul Kada area of Mingora due to a family dispute. Anwarul Haq was living with his father-in-law Muhammad Talkhees, who murdered him in a fit of rage over a dispute with his two sons, Amir Hamza and Aziz ur Rahman, police quoted the victim’s borther Ashraf as saying.

In another incident, a rickshaw ran over a pedestrian in Khareray, Matta killing him on the spot. According to the local police, a speeding rickshaw hit Asil Zada, killing him on the spot. The police arrested the driver, Sayed Ali, and registered a case against him.

Meanwhile, a man and his son killed a man over a dispute on the quality of construction material in Asala Bala area of Khwazakhela.

According to the Khwazakhela police, Muhammad Rahman and his son Ghaffar Ali had an argument with a contractor named Saleh Muhammad.

They argument got heated and they attacked him with stones, leaving him critically injured.

A row over construction material erupted between Muhammad Rahman and his son, Ghaffar Ali and Saleh Muhammad that resulted in a scuffle. Ultimately, the father and son attacked Saleh Muhammad with stones leaving him critically injured. He was taken to the Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital where he died of his injuries. The police took both the man and his son into custody and registered a case against them.
