Four people were killed and two injured in separate incidents of violence here in the last 24 hours, according to the police.

In the first incident, three brothers were shot dead and one injured in Kahuta on Wednesday morning allegedly by their cousins — Muhammad Jamil and Muhammad Wakeel — over a land dispute, police said.

The dead were identified as: Abdul Hameed, 60, Shah Nawaz Ahmed, 45, Ali Hussain, 40. Their bodies were taken to the District Headquarter Hospital. Their 55-year-old brother, Abdul Majeed, was injured in the clash. All four were residents of Narr village in Kotli Sattian.

Police said they have arrested Wakeel.

In another incident, a man was found shot dead in Banni late on Tuesday night and another man injured, police said.

Yaqoob Khan told police that his cousin Sher Azam had shifted from Jhang to Rawalpindi a year ago.

On Tuesday night, Khan received a phone call that Azam had been shot dead at the Imam Bara Chowk. Khan added that some unknown people called him, telling him that Azam had been shot dead at the Imam Bara Chowk.

Police said Azam had been shot in the head.

The other incident happened near Sirajia Mosque. Taj Muhammad lodged a report with the Banni police that Muhammad Saeed worked with him at a tandoor.

On Tuesday night when Saeed opened the shop, unidentified men shot at him, injuring him.
