ISLAMABAD: A group of campaigners feel that by inspiring citizens to follow Jinnah’s vision, Pakistan can be made a progressive and liberal country. With that goal in mind, over two dozen volunteers of the ‘Inspire Pakistan’ campaign held an event at the Fatima Jinnah Park to pay tribute to Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 136th birth anniversary on Tuesday. Brandishing Pakistani flags and holding placards inscribed with messages recognising the achievements of various Pakistani leaders, the campaigners made speeches and sang national songs to raise the spirit of nationalism. They also cut a cake to mark the birth anniversary. “By paying tribute to Quaid-e-Azam we hope to create awareness among the youngsters and also highlight the inspirational work done by various other Pakisatnis,” said Madiha Naseem an Islamabad-based campaigner.
