Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has promised to bring a revolution through education, Prisons Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar said on Friday. He was inaugurating a Rs6 million academic block at the Government Boys Model High School at Satellite Town.
The new block consists of six rooms and toilets. He said providing access to quality education to all was his government’s priority. “This is why the Education Department spends billions of rupees,” he said. He said the government had decided to upgrade several secondary schools to higher secondary schools. He said an examination hall would be built at the school soon.

@Dr.A. K.Tewari: Complete ban on Madressas is extreme step. I believe that a regulated madressa system would be a lot better. Madressas have been there since long and it was during 80s that education in Madressas was used to churn out militancy, thanks to Saudi funding and Zia's convoluted thinking. By regulation I mean approval of education, text books and teachers by a government body.
It's true to improve our society thought through Education. I appriciate this step, but there is some weakness in education sector
Winston Churchil's words repeated
Do people want to make literacy widely prevalent? They will have to do what they need to do. Charity begins at home. So the movement to organise literacy must come from every home of the nation. The movement to organise literacy and other constructive work can be done only through self help. This can be achieved by coming together regularly. Illiterate people can be made literate very quickly and cheaply through self help. People must organise to organise self help. To organise, people must get into the habit of coming together regularly to meet the people of their neighbourhood and then start their good work from thereon. Have we not tried all other methods and failed? Have we not been leaving everything to be done by us, for others to do? Did we get the job done ever? So for a change let us all take up the challenge by organising self help and see if we ever fail.
A complete ban on Maderssa education can only save Pakistan in this secular world . There should be a freedom of choice of religion but muslim born as human being and complled to die as muslim due to circumsision . They can not voice against the unscientific religious belief due to existence of blasphemy laws . Then how education can act as a medium of revolution ?
Yeah right, that's why you distributed laptops on the expense of education.
