PESHAWAR: The three-day national symposium titled ‘Frontiers in Physics’ concluded at the Pashto Cultural Museum, University of Peshawar on Friday. The event hosted 210 scientists from across Pakistan including 80 from K-P. K-P Governor Barrister Masood Kausar said the conference was good for the morale of the people of the province. “A series of unfortunate events in the last few days has sketched a very dangerous picture of K-P but such academic events and the presence of such personalities has had a balancing effect on the environment,” he said. The governor said the University of Peshawar has arranged a variety of national and international seminars over the past two years, which is highly commendable. He emphasised giving due importance to science and education, which he said is imperative for surviving in today’s world. UoP Vice-Chancellor Dr Qibla Ayaz thanked the higher education commission for encouraging research in universities.
