The court also issued directives to make the third report public.
Former chairman of Bahria Town, Malik Riaz, had strongly criticised the one-man inquiry commission constituted to probe graft allegations against the son of the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Riaz said that he had submitted receipts of Arsalan Iftikhar’s expenses in the Supreme Court on June 6, 2012. But the Supreme Court did not conduct any investigation then.
The business tycoon had alleged that Arsalan lived in a Portman Square penthouse which costs Rs7 million a month in addition to enjoying services of the best hotels in London. Riaz said that receipts and proofs of these expenses have been submitted to the Supreme Court, but no action was taken on them either.

@Sharjeel Jawaid Jawaid: Of course, Musharraf was right all this time-----proved many times over!-------- why must we still ask such naive questions?
@salim: There is no bigger DON than Malik Riaz himself.
Well what Mr malik said its proved now now no more suddle commision which means mr Malik clinch the victory in first round ........ Furthermore a fair commision should investigate regarding the Arslan accounts and He should be punished coz no is is superior then law......
If there can be no way to take any action against chief justice we should elevate him to god status and start worshipping him.
@ Waheed Mazhar, "The act of making repayment proves the guilt of Arsalan Iftikhar and the truth of Malik Riaz’s allegations, but somehow there is a lull in a section of media..."
There is no logic in your statement. If the expenses have been paid by Dr. Arsalan, then there is no case against him. The real story is that land grabber tried to use CJ's son but failed to influence CJ. Dr. Arsalan took the advantage of his position, which was off course wrong, but real culprit is the land grabber.
Our nation has always been a backstabbing one unfortunately. We scorned the likes of Ayub Khan and Pervez Musharaff and elect the likes of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari. The media is exactly like the masses. It does not have the courage to call a spade, spade. I remember how the media was breathing down the government's neck to establish the writ of the government vis a vis the situation of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa and when the government did exactly that, there was an outcry, "oh ho, bachiyaan maar deen...". And the people lapped it up.
The CJ also played with the people's emotions. The only thing he is interested in being driven around in fancy BMWs, giving speeched and making his son into a mini me Malik Riaz. People are rot in courts for ages to wait for a decision. Has he done anything to improve it? The courts infact end up releasing the culprits which are rounded up by law agencies. In fact the courts have made a mockery of themselves by taking silly decisions like blocking YouTube. Its pathetic. What we need are military courts which are swift and brutal as I have believed that Pakistanis are a "Danday ki quom".
P.S. I have much more respect for Riaz "Thaykaydaar" than his Lordship.
@iLiberal: You are absolutely 100 percent right. Our media has no maturity and background checks should be done on all T.V anchors. Media as a Naive friend Pakistan needs no other enemy. the other day I say a t.v anchor Waseem badami interviewing ex president Pervez musharraf, he was so rude to him that if that I was in Musharraf's place I would have slapped him. I don't know how president Musharraf tolerated him. He had no sense how to talk to an ex perisedent. He seemed to be a police inspector interrogating a criminal.
Mr Suddle is essentially a police services man. He is not all-clean man. He also figured in Murtaza Bhutto's murder by the police. As a policeman, he has shown his police 'skills', rather mentality, to sidetrack the main issue. Was the commission set up to look into malik riaz's tax affairs and his and his relations accounts in the british banks? Malik Riaz's claim that he submitted all documentary proofs of expenditures spent on the chief justice's son were not taken into consideration by the commission seemed plausible. Now the Supreme Court will take up Malik Riaz's tax matters in the light of commissions 'findings' to teach him a lesson to expose the corruption and blackmailing of the chief justice's son. Three cheers for justice for Chief Justice Iftikhar's son.
A couple of days back it was published in press that Arsalan Iftikhar has repaid around Rs.4.5 million to Ahmed Khalil's manager (Ahmed Khalil is son-in-law of Malik Riaz), and has submitted the copy of the cheque of repayment to Suddle commission. Then it was published that Arsalan Iftikhar's business is found involved in tax evasion of Rs.50.13 million, but a section of media comfortably ignored all this stuff. So, if a thief is caught after the theft and during investigations also produces the stolen property, his guilt is proved beyond reasonable doubt under the standards of criminal law. The act of making repayment proves the guilt of Arsalan Iftikhar and the truth of Malik Riaz's allegations, but somehow there is a lull in a section of media on this BIG ISSUE...can we ask why? Why is there a different standard for politicians and a different standard for the son of a chief adjudicator in our media? And as a quick reminder for the readers, Arsalan Iftikhar has been denying any contact with Malik Riaz or taking any financial benefit during his foreign visits since the beginning of this case...then why he is making payments?

I am amazed by unfair and ignorant comments by most readers. 1-Given that Alslan is corrupt and a father is being protective .How this justifies compeletely unjustified actions of Musharraf. How come this makes HIM a true leader? 2- Why to ignore scores of best decisons by CJP just because you love Mushraaf or PPP? 3- Dogar was btter than him?Are you trying to justify chnaging of Govts and judges on gun point? 4-Are you trying to justify the second PCO just because first PCO was accpeted by this CJP.Is it that you would have loved this CJP if he kept going with dictator and then cooperated with corrpt of the corrupt Zardari.Oh, guyes come on give me a break . I suggest people decide first which side they are on and then make comment not on bias and perception but on knowledge and fairness and balanace.
Money is speaking. The land grabber who stole 120 billion rupees in taxes has also bought internet Jihadists.
By putting Malik Riaz under pressure the PCO judges made sure that Arsalan gets free ride to billions.
@Zeeshan: Your stupidity amazes me. It is common sense that when citizens or politicians or bureaucrats indulge n corrupt practices, they can be prosecuted in a court of law. But that isn't the case with judges (let alone the CJ) as you saw in the reference against him by Musharraf when he got off on a technicality rather than bearing the onus of his defense. My point is, judges are supposed to be of a higher moral standing and can't be compared to 'lesser mortals'
ISNT IT THE END OF SHOW?
Arsalan Iftikhar is the Darth Vader of our time.
I'm not a fan of Malik Riaz but I believe him when he says that this son of PCO CJ is a "DON"!
The credibility, the reputation, heck the very honour of our Supreme Court is at stake and who is at fault here. Its own chief the man called Chaudhry Iftikhar, he should have asked to be relived even if for interim period, if not resigned right then, until his criminal son that man Arsalan Iftikhar Chaudhry and saga of his crimes were inquired and brought to justice. His insistence on contnuing in his position is in itself the proof of how much he or anyone of the whole bunch sitting in that honourable institution cared about either justice or the sanctity of the highest judiciary. It's about time that this man the CJ and those of his closest collaborators in Supreme Court are impeached by our assemblies and the senate. This is absolutely imperative if we are to revert back to anything closest to the moral authority that our Supreme Court must have. Individuals are not and have never been indisposable, it's the institutions that must be protected and respected.
I am amazed at the ludicrous comments from the readers. In the very first instance, the SC requested the government to conduct an inquiry via NAB or any other institution. Why has the government not bring to the fore truly damning evidence against this miniscule of a man and cut down the CJ to size. If the son is ever found to be corrupt, his own incorruptibility not withstanding, the CJ will have to resign and relinquish his post.
But all those shouting murder here, please advise why the government of our dead country, so entangled with the juidiciary, does not use this awesome opportunity. Or, for that matter, any other entity of the state or otherwise, does not bring forth some daming evidence against this man and make him pay for his deeds.
And if there is no damning evidence, then there is no case and no punishment for "alleged" misconduct. Case closed.
@ Liberal: And your majesty what do you have to say about that Alcapone of ours, Mr. Riaz Thaikadar who has all the state by his side?
I shall never believe in what Malik Riaz says, even if he sits on a burning hot plate. Not because Arsalan Iftikhar is an angel but only for the reason that Malik Riaz does not have that tongue in his mouth with which he can speak the truth. His wife says that he is a lire from head to toe.
@iLiberal: Blame the root cause (media's misperceptions of both men) not The effect (I'm the Chaudhry). The media is responsible for this pathetic situation in Pakistan and for the melodramatic decisions and remarks because they keep getting publicized.
Our judicial system is definately corrupt like our politicians, you can see what happened to the judicial reference which was sent during Musharaff time ?
Was Musharraf right after all . . . ?
First they formed the commission for CJ's son, and now they disbanded it... now someone else do the investigation and then that investigation would not be able to please the judge.. they are just gaining time for the pampered child of their beloved CJ...
It was reported that the business tycoon was to file a case in London. What happened? Has he back tracked knowing that British Courts treat the giver & taker of bribes alike.
Malik Riaz should have been number 1 on the Forbes power list.
INDEED TRUE LIBERAL..VERY WELL WELL SAID...Well the holier than thou judge’s son has gotten off scot-free. This gentleman used to be a civil servant during Musharaff’s era and is now a billionaire. In this day and age, when even military is coming under scrutiny why do our lordships get free hall passes. Musharaf was right in wanting to fire this judge, too bad the nation was too blind to see it and look where it has landed us. All the economic progress made during Musharraf’s era has gone down the gutter. What a sad lot we are, could tell the difference between a true leader and corrupt judge.
Believe me CJ is good for nothing. Just coz of media he is ruling the country otherwise he is as corrupt as our politicians and others. It's been almost six months and he is still making and breaking commissions and reports. Somebody should tell him that pakistanis are not blind, deaf and dumb. When it comes to PM he makes decision at once at when it comes to his son he is wasting time. Can I ask him what he had done to the culprits who have looted Big organization like NICL, BOP, Pak Steel, Railways etc. Only inquiries are going on. After few months election will take place and new govt will release everyone on bail and they will flee from the land of pure and after few years will come again in the form of secretaries and special adviser to the govt. Allah in chooron se bachaey mere Pakistan ko mercedez or ac waley room main Beth kar baat karte hy garib ko insaf delany ke.
Nice way to save his son's skin. There is no mechanism in Pakistan to punish corrupt judges. They can only be prosecuted through Supreme Judicial Council which is also head by their own colleagues. How can judges be expected to punish judges for their frauds?
the whole process is a joke. Only purpose of this commission was to protect and divert attention from Arsalan , this the chief justice has succeeded in
This is getting rather curious. I wonder what Mr.Suddle uncovered during the course of his investigations.

How an incomplete report as said by commission be made public? Seems like report was not up to the expectations of SC.
