Resolution against Kalabagh Dam presented in Sindh Assembly
In the session that started an hour late, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Nadir Magsi stood up to talk about the dam but met with anti-Kalabagh Dam sloganeering.
Members of the assembly sought permission from the Speaker for presenting the resolution which was granted and then presented.
Pakistan Muslim League – Functional (PML-F) MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, however, said that a simple resolution would not be enough, adding that the PPP needed to make clear its policy on the issue.
Earlier this month, after years of debate and cancellations, the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered the government to begin constructing the dam on River Indus.

PPP legislators should explain to the masses as what are the negative points if Kala Bagh Dam will be constructed?
These un educated politicians dont know the prospects of KALABAGH DAM and is importance,scope and output in future.
Benazir herself had committed for Kalabagh Dam. How PPP can tell masses that they are following BB's line.
May Allah grant "some" wisdom to our so-called "leaders" and our nation..
All the foolish persons are in Assemblies ...What a joke to our nation.. They didn't have any problem getting education, jobs, water, electricity and other perquisites..They just want to rule the poor and want them to poor ever n ever...
