Civil service commissions: SAARC meeting to explore cooperation

Heads will hold discussions on the proposed study of civil service commissions of Saarc members.

ISLAMABAD: A three-day meeting of the chief of civil service commissions of South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (Saarc) countries will begin on Tuesday. Members are to explore avenues for increasing regional cooperation between the states. At the meeting, heads will hold discussions on the proposed study of civil service commissions of Saarc members to identify areas where they can collaborate. They will also identify their respective operational status and the challenges faced by them, in a bid to attain the best possible practice for cooperation. The meeting is expected to go a long way in building regional cooperation among Saarc countries for the improvement of civil services in the region.
