Volatile security: Three killed in Balochistan violence

Gunmen shot and critically wounded a man in Jaffarabad.

Three people, including a security official and a doctor, were killed in unabated violence in the volatile Balochistan province on Sunday.


In Jaffarabad, gunmen shot and critically wounded a man identified as Mehboob. The victim, however, succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a hospital. Separately, another person, identified as Dr Shamsuddin, was shot dead by gunmen also in Jaffarabad. The police said the motives behind the killing were unclear.

In Dera Murad Jamali of Naseerabad district, a security personnel was killed when he stepped over a landmine planted by suspected militants. The victim has been identified as Sher Muhammad.
