Partridge hunting ban to be lifted in 27 tehsils

FAISALABAD:


The Punjab government has decided to lift a ban on partridge hunting in 27 districts of the province. The ban will remain in force in nine districts.


Official sources said the ban would be lifted from December 1, 2012 to January 31, 2013.

They said the hunters would be allowed to hunt partridges only on Sunday and one hunter would be allowed to collect not more than 6 birds. The areas where the ban will be lifted are Issa Khel of Mianwali, Sohawa in Jhelum, Choa Saidan Shah in Chakwal, Sammundri, Tandlianwala in Faisalabad, Jhang, Darya Khan in Bhakkar, Sahiwal in Sargodha, Kallar Sydan in Rawalpindi, Kharian in Gujrat, Malikwal in Mandi Bahauddin, Wazeerabad in Gujranwala, Pindi Bhattian in Hafizabad, Pasroor in Sialkot, Zafarwal in Narowal, Mureedke in Sheikhupura, Sangla Hill in Nankana, Pattoki in Kasur, Renala Khurd in Okara, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot in Lalian, Sahiwal, Arif Wala in Pakpattan, Kabeerwala in Khanewal, Vehari in Melsi, Kahror Pakkah in Lodhran and Jalalpur Pir Wala in Multan.

The areas where the ban will remain in force are Bahawalpur, Bahawal Nagar, Raheem Yar Khan, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Lahore and Khushab.
