SARGODHA: The only CT scan machine at the district headquarters hospital in Sargodha has been non-functional for 10 months, The Express Tribune has learnt. Hospital administration told The Express Tribune that the Health Department planned to import some parts of the machine. They said the hospital was facing delays in awarding a maintenance contract for the machine. Some patients said that the charge for a CT scan test at the DHQ was Rs500, however, after the machine broke down, they said, they had no option but to pay Rs5,000 for the same test at private hospitals.
