LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Javed Iqbal Shaikh has fixed November 12 for arguments on the pre-arrest bail pleas of four brothers accused of shooting two people. According to the FIR registered at Ghaziabad police station, Muhammad Tariq, Ashiq, Rafaqat Ali and Sharafat Ali suspected that a neighbour Sabir Hussain had told the police that they ran a gambling den at their house. The brothers allegedly shot Hussain on July 21, in the process also hitting a bystander, a 12-year-old girl named Maira Khalid. The girl has lost the ability to walk as a result of her injury. The four petitioners submitted through their counsel in their pre-arrest bail pleas that they had been implicated in a false case by the police.
