Snooker: Trump wins International Championship

New world number one Judd Trump beat Nathan Robertson in a thrilling final at the International Championship in Chengdu, China. The evening started off with a re-rack and then a cagey start to frame 10, but Trump took it with a run of 57 to level the match once more. Robertson’s failure to respond set Trump on his way to victory, according to the BBC. The game had initially seemed to sway in Robertson’s favour when he led 8-6, but Trump found his way to turn the contest around with breaks of 96 and 119 to help him. The 22-year-old Bristolian has now a £125,000 first prize.
