Snooker: Trump to face Ebdon in semi-final

World number two Judd Trump set up a semi-final clash with Peter Ebdon at the International Championship after a thrilling 6-5 win against Mark Allen in Chengdu, China. Trump took a 5-3 lead before Allen hit back to take the quarter-final into a deciding frame, where a break of 60 helped Trump seal victory, according to the BBC. Ebdon, on the other hand, enjoyed a comfortable 6-0 win over Ricky Walden. “It was a good game, we both played well,” said Trump. “I had a good lead but I struggled to finish it off. I was getting frustrated but I kept going on. I just had to try to stay patient and wait for a chance. It will be a different challenge against Peter. I’ll just have to play my own game, try to get in front and try to dominate the match.”
