PESHAWAR: After missing dates he was meant to publically declare his affiliation with the Jamait Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), former Minister Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti is now expected to formally announce his move on November 6. Earlier, JUI-F leaders said that Khawaja Hoti will make the statement on October 19 and meet the party leadership the next day. Some of Khawja Hoti’s supporters have even carried ads in local newspapers welcoming him to the JUI-F. JUI-F Deputy General Secretary, Maulana Amanat Shah, said that Khawaja Hoti was to join his party on October 21, but due to the death of his relative and former minister Mohamamd Ali on the same day, it was postponed. Hoti was the federal minister for anti-narcotics after 2008 elections. He was a member of the Awami National Party, which he resigned  from when he developed differences with the party’s leadership. He joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 2012. He left PTI after nine months.
