Punjab’s Aslam Khan stunned top-seed Malaysian Amir Farhan in straight sets to clinch the U19 title at the 6th DG Rangers Sindh International Junior Squash Championship.
Khan won 11-6, 11-5 and 13-11 in 50 minutes to claim the $1,000 prize-money, while Farhan got $600.
Meanwhile, in an all-Malaysian U17 final, Darren Chan Ti Lunn defeated Al Nick Ally Bin Abd Rahim 3-0, while unseeded Sumaid Rasheed of Punjab shocked top-seed Faizan Khan of PAF to win the U15 title. PAF’s Abbas Zaib came out on top in a five-set duel with Uzair Rasheed in the U13 final, while Punjab’s Harris Qasim thrashed PAF’s Rashid Daulat in straight sets.
There was an upset in the girls event as KPK’s Saadia Gul won 3-2 against Samar Anjum of Punjab. The favourite, Madina Zafar of Sindh too, had to dig deep to defeat Sri Lanka’s Fathoum Issadeen 11-13, 8-11, 11-7, 12-10 and 11-8.

well done Aslam nation should be proud of you. Pakistan’s dominated squash from 50’s through 90’s and now we are no where to be found it is such a shame.
