ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) flight between Islamabad and Saidu Sharif will start operating from November 5. The once-a-week flight will operate on Mondays initially, the national carrier said on Wednesday. The flight from Islamabad will leave at 10am and arrive at Saidu Sharif airport at 10:40am. The return flight will leave Swat at 11AM the same day and reach Islamabad at 11:40am. A PIA spokesperson said that the carrier had shut down its Swat operations in 2007 due to militancy. But now that the situation is better, the service is being resumed, the spokesperson said, adding that the service will help tourists going to the region.
