Pension fraud: SHO to record woman’s statement

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Hamid Hussain directed the Gulshan-i-Ravi SHO on Friday to record the statement of a woman on her petition seeking a case against an audit officer and a woman allegedly involved in misappropriating her husband’s pension. Perveen Bibi submitted that her husband Naseem Rabbani died on December 29, 2011. She said she visited the accountant general’s office to get his pension. She said she learnt that Azra Bibi was in connivance with Audit Officer Zafar Iqbal receiving Rabbani’s pension. She said she visited the SHO with a request to register a case which he didn’t. The judge disposed of the petition, directing the SHO to record Perveen Bibi’s statement and proceed according to the law.
