Visa consultants: 2 more pleas against Future Concern

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Thursday issued notices to the chief executive of Future Concern, a visa consultancy firm, and others on two more petitions accusing the firm of depriving customers of money on the promise of sending them abroad. Asif Ali Burni and Shahida Parveen pleaded that they had paid Asim Malik, the CEO of Future Concern, millions of rupees for visas, but he neither obtained the visas nor returned the money. Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi issued notice to Malik to appear before the court on October 15. Several petitions accusing the firm of the same thing were already pending before the same court. Warrants have also been issued for Malik’s arrest for not appearing before the court, while the Federal Investigation Agency has been directed to register cases against the head of the visa consultancy firm.
