EC summons 8 legislators over fake degrees

The eight legislators summoned over the fake degree issue, include one senator, two MNAs and five MPAs.

EC summons 8 legislators over fake degrees
The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday summoned eight people over the fake degree issue, including two MNAs, one senator and five MPAs to appear before it on September 6, 2010.

The legislators who have been summoned include Akhunzada Chattan, Meer Humayun Aziz Kurd and MPAs Sardar Ali, Maulvi Ubaidullah, Syed Aqil Shah and Maulvi Gulistan from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Shamaa Parveen Magsi from the Balochistan Assembly.

If any legislator does not appear after being served three notices, the EC can propose legal action against them as some of these legislators were summoned earlier as well to appear on August 30.
