Crime against women: Man throws acid on estranged fiancée

Dr Akbar who treated the victim at the hospital said she had received 45 per cent burns.

FAISALABAD: A man was accused of throwing acid on a woman in the Sheikhana village on Tuesday. Police said Asad Abbas, a resident of Sheikhana village, had been engaged to his cousin, Quratul Ain, 17.

The girl refused the marriage. She was taken to Jhang district headquarters hospital. Dr Akbar who treated her at the hospital said she had received 45 per cent burns.
