The ANF thwarted a bid to smuggle heroin to the UK and arrested two alleged drug-peddlers on Saturday.

The ANF found a suspected box during cargo inspection and seized the drugs, weighing approximately 25kg, hidden inside crockery items. The ANF then arrested two suspects who had booked the cargo.

Meanwhile, the Airport police seized a pistol magazine and 17 bullets from a passenger travelling to the US. The suspect, Amir Bahadur Ali, was a US citizen and was held during security check. However, he was allowed to board his flight after the prohibited items were seized.
