According to the report, 55-year-old Malik Iqbal was called to the door of his house in Rawalpindi and was murdered by three masked men. Iqbal had been kidnapped in Pakistan last year, but was freed almost a month later after his family paid a £15,000 ransom.
While in captivity, Iqbal was chained to a bed and blindfolded for 20 days surviving on occasional tea and biscuits, the report mentioned. He had returned to Pakistan to give evidence against the men who kidnapped him.
The report added that Iqbal is survived by a wife and four young daughters at his home in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

It is in the interest of all Pakistani living in other counties to come forward and put pressure on the people of Pakistan and the govt. to take strict action who believe in gun culture .
Very sad. Pakistani overseas are victims of Supreme Court, Election Commission, discrimination in host countries and kidnappers.
its just a bad incident. bad people exist in every society. People are targeted and killed in Europe too. Lets not take it to bash Pakistan and Pakistani people.

I am a Pakistani living in Canada. The feeling of living amongst your own loved ones and relatives, fellow countrymen and people of your own culture couldn't be found anywhere else.We still care and pray for Pakistan. But with massive corruption and incidents like these, can someone kindly give me some alternative other than continue to live in Canada(I have dual nationalities too) for the rest of my life? Or should I still dream about coming back someday?
