In light of the spot fixing scandal, PCB Chief Ijaz Butt should be sacked or the entire Standing Committee on Sports will resign, stated Chairman National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Sports, Iqbal Muhmmad Ali.

Iqbal made this remark during a session of the NA Standing Committee on Sports in Islamabad on Monday. He demanded that the PCB be dissolved and a new board should be formed on an ad-hoc basis.

The members of the Standing Committee also demanded that team management and players alleged in spot-fixing should immediately be called back from England.

It is test for standing committee and parliament. Enough is enough! if the members of the committee has enough moral courage then they should resign or flesh out Butts. we are not short of good men for the post of PCB chairman.Javid Miandad, Ramiz Raja, Aamir sohail, Zahir Abbas and many others are diamond pearls who are suited for the post.It is a test of Asiz zardari How harsh he is at corruption. PCB has lost its credibility not only in Pakistan but also in the entire world.

The PCB and its entire selection team should be sacked and new chief of PCB should be appointed forthwith.

Players who are responsible in fixing the match should be punished. People of Pakistan do not want to see the old faces that disgraced Pakistan in the international cricket.Recommend

Javed Miandad? Are you joking? Dawood Ibrahim, by all accounts, had a key role to play in the growth of the modern match fixing scourge.

I wonder now too about Woolmer’s death and that Pak/Ireland game. There are clearly MASSIVE amounts of money involved.

    Scary stuff.Recommend

That’s the best remedy as per crisis. Send Mr. Ijaz BUTT and the tour management home for good. NO more. The spot betting culprits should be tried and banned for life for we as nation are sick of such allegations. How long do we have to face such allegations from low profile players in the national squad?Recommend
