Fata students: FSU ask govt for quotas in colleges

FSU asked the government to provide monthly scholarships and hostel facilities for the militancy affected students.

PESHAWAR:
The Fata Students Union (FSU) asked the government to allocate special quota in colleges and universities for students from tribal areas as most of their education institutions have either been destroyed or closed due to military operations. The FSU president Rafiullah Chamkani, while addressing a press conference on Thursday, said that most of the students from Fata are unable to continue their education as government universities and colleges give preference to students from settled areas at times of admissions. He urged the government to rebuild the destroyed schools and colleges in Fata saying that there are no medical colleges or universities in Fata. He also asked the government to provide monthly scholarships and hostel facilities for the militancy affected students.
