Book fair ends at Arid Agriculture University

RAWALPINDI: The three-day book fair ended at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University (PMAS- AAU) on Thursday.

A large number of books from Indian, European and American authors were  available for sale. A large number of students visited the book fair and bought books of their interest on agriculture, natural, social, and management sciences, information technology and other topics. The book fair was organized by the PMAS-AAUR library and around 30,000 books were displayed in the fair.

Meanwhile, a host of contests including glass painting, jewelry box, dry leaf  cards, hand made cards, traditional handicrafts, fabrics paintings, calligraphic work, cartoon, sculptures, abstract art, posters and coin collection were displayed by students on the third day of student week at the University on Thursday.

Over 25 students participated in the exhibition. Bilal Hasan was declared first, followed by Humaira Khatoon and Sidra Kirn as second and third respectively. A total of nine teams participated inter-faculty drama competition. Veterinary department stole the show while women division team was declared as runner- up.
