BEIJING: China said on Friday that India and Pakistan should resolve the Kashmir dispute through dialogue.

Foreign ministry spokesman Hong Lei at a media briefing in Beijing said that China’s stand on Kashmir was that it was an issue to be resolved by India and Pakistan through negotiations.

Hong dismissed as “entirely groundless” Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh’s assertion that Chinese soldiers were present in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
