Recovery Campaign: FESCO disconnects supply to 13 public sector depts

The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) on Friday disconnected electricity supply to 13 government offices.

The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) on Friday disconnected electricity supply to 13 government offices.


Fesco spokesman Tahir Sheikh said the electricity supply to Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), Iqbal Town town municipal authority (TMA)and Jinnah Town had been suspended for not paying Rs0.315 million, Rs0.646 million and Rs0.236 million, respectively.

In Chiniot, power supply to six offices was disconnected.

This included the Education Department office which needs to pay Rs0.526 million. Similarly, electricity connections of Chiniot TMA, Railway Station, Highways and Food Departments were disconnected.

The Chiniot TMA owes Rs0.146 million, Police Rs0.221 million, Railways Rs0.692 million, Highways Rs0.029 million and Food Department Rs0.005 million.

In Mianwali, electricity supply to Essa Khel TMA, Lift Irrigation Scheme and Mianwali TMA has also been disconnected.

The Essa Khel TMA owes Rs6.012 million, Lift Irrigation Scheme Rs 20 million and Mianwali TMA Rs2.2 million.
