Ishq-E-Rasool Day: Gas stations to stay closed today

APCNGA announced on Wednesday to observe strike on Friday to express protest over the anti-Islamic film.

ISLAMABAD: All the compressed natural gas (CNG) station owners across Pakistan, petrol pump owners and transport associations have announced complete support for the All Pakistan CNG Association’s (APCNGA) call for strike on Friday to observe  Ishq-e-Rasool (pbuh) Day.

“We want to convey the message to the world that Pakistanis have condemned this derogatory act,” APCNGA Chairman Ghyas Paracha said in a statement issued on Thursday.

APCNGA announced on Wednesday to observe strike on Friday to express protest over the anti-Islamic film. He said that the transporters had also announced to observe strike on Friday to protest over the film. “We condemned the elements behind the derogatory film and will shut down the CNG stations across the country to observe the Ishq-e-Rasool (pbuh) Day,” he added.
