BARA:

A house of a homoeopathic doctor was blown up by militants in Sipah area, Bara subdivision in the early hours of Tuesday.

Dozens of Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) militants, a banned outfit led by Mangal Bagh, planted bombs by the boundary wall of Dr Najeebullah’s house. The explosions occurred around 4am, a paramilitary official said.

The official said that there were no casualties because the house was vacant, adding that Dr Najeeb and his family had shifted to the Jalozai IDP camp due to the ongoing military operation.

He said that the house was completely destroyed, adding that militants usually target residences of tribesman who are against them.

An official of the paramilitary troops also said that militants destroyed the house of a tribesman from Akka Khel Misal Khan, adding that there was no loss of life since the family has shifted to Peshawar.
