Ishaq is not expected to be released today as the bail has not been submitted, and he is also currently accused in other cases.
He was arrested earlier this month and was sent on a 14-day judicial remand to Kot Lakhpat jail in a case registered against him for giving a “provocative speech to spread hatred” during a Khatm-e-Nabuwwat rally near Lahore.
The case had been registered under Article 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 3 of the Amplifier Act.
The bail plea of Ishaq said that the Article 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code does not apply in this case and it was a mala fide action on part of the police to register the case.

If you believe in judiciary and constitution then keep in mind apex court of Pakistan declared him innocent in those cases which was charged on him. Either you denied to apex court and constitution or accept him as innocent in murder cases. Governor Sindh , Zardari, Nawaz and other prominent leaders are also got clearance from court in high profile corruption and murder cases. why are not you asking them killer, corrupt and consequently disqualified form regime?
He was detained 14 years, why did not prove if he was guilty. Our media and elite class are hypocrite when prominent political leader free from court you say they did nothing and nothing could be prove against them so they are innocent, here you are adopting dual standard.
Justice is a joke in our country!
Why is it that this TERRORIST is always released by the courts???? Why waste money and time in arresting him or other terrorists when everyone knows that the courts will release them on one pretext or other ?????
@KSU: "@gp65: I do believe the imam is arrested in the case…."
YEs and I applaud the courage of the whistleblower for telling the truth. Also respect ulema council chief Ashrafi's call to get this man punished. I was making a different point. That if despite people knowing that she was framed, if Rimsha was still not safe to simply go back to her own home when released on bail then that is a testament to her neighbours and not a very good one.
Our country has become a joke world wide. Keep it up please.
Iran will react on such judgement in a different way . Wait and see . See the Iraq if you can .
Our judicial system at all levels has collapsed down under the leadership of a PCO triple degree holder.judge. He is not allowing the system to move forward at all levels. No one wants any coward or political judiciary in the country.
Hasan, Credit should be given where credit is due.India is a secular country and has managed to keep a highly pluralistic population of 1.2 billion under control.This is a mamoth task and absolutly impossible if a state shows partiality in her actions for some groups on the basis of religion,cast or race.Offcource there is big class of hindu fanatics in india and have indulged in sectarion roits against muslims.But we have to see the role of indian judiciary which,to my knowldge, has deliverd to give justice.And this is not possible if state machinary doesn't stay behind it.There are discrepancies in every constitution and for that, several factors are involved one of that may be lack of sources.Let us encourage them for their fight against injustice.Let politics be not involved and see it in human perspactive. Regards
@gp65: I do believe the imam is arrested in the case....
@gp65:
That's the problem - facts do NOT bear out your statement.
The vast majority of Pakistan's demographic metamorphosis took place in 1947, with the two-way minority migration and the ensuing bloodshed. Numerically, the same number of people fled Hindustani land as the amount who fled Pakistan - but our ratio was more dramatically affected simply because our population was much lower. I'm sorry, but this is basic maths - and you're more than welcome to research it for yourself.
To compare BJP to PML-N is disingenuous, and only reflects the sheltered level of knowledge that Hindustanis have about the world around them. The BJP has openly declared its hostility to Hindustan's minorities, particularly Muslims, and their only equivalent in Pakistan is the small collection of outlawed fanatics who are routinely trounced by the Army. So no, you're wrong on this assertion as well. Sorry.
I don't see any personal comments that were made against you; I simply stated the fact that when you set yourself up with such astounding naivete, it is inevitable that you will get your comeuppance - and you did. Unfortunately that upset you, but frankly you should be saving your concerns for the innumerable pockets of religious agitation that are constantly erupting in Hindustan - just as we Pakistanis have our own issues to look at, albeit not on such a massive scale.
I wish you and your people well - as soon as you learn to look into the stench of your own failures and dedicate your efforts towards improving your own land, I am sure that progress and development between our two countries will appear on the horizon in no time.
Hasan
@unbeliever:
Actually you're undermining your own argument.
Hindustan brags repeatedly about democracy throughout its chequered history - and yet it was through this democracy that the world witnessed some of the most hideous episodes of sectarian genocide since World War II take place in your country.
I would want nothing more than a government in Pakistan which represented the will of the people, because unlike you, I can say with confidence that my nation has never shown any popular political support for religious extremist elements. But I would sooner take a martial law administration than a Hindustani version of democracy, which seems only to have brought far greater levels of religious violence (as well as poverty and malnutrition) to your country than anything Pakistan has ever experienced.
I hope this clears things up for you.
Hasan
@Cautious: Do you research on Iran's stance on jewish holocost before you speak. Iran questions on 'where' it happens and 'who' did it? it was not in palestine and not by palestinians. Iran objects to using it gain political mileage. As far as 'wiping off the map' goes it says that it should be wipe off like soviet union was wiped off the map.
Subhan Allah.
And here in Hessen German the State has finally approved Islamic education for children in schools and approved 2 organizations whose Islamic teachings will be included in the curriculum. AHMADI and a Turkish organization !!
Gift from the "free judiciary."
@Hasan: I said that Hindus in Pakistan were getting eliminated and you say that is an absurd statement. How so? What was the percentage of Hindus in present day Pakistan in 1948 What is it now? When facts bear out my statement, on what basis do you call it absurd?
As far as calling BJP a Hindutva party, please understand that BJP is no more right wing than PML-N - if that. So the notion that right wing parties come to power in India but not in Pakistan is simply not true.
And you can continue to make unwarranted personal comments about me - that does not intimidate me. I have no expectation that I can change the mindset of a bigoted person like you. The reason I comment is to provide facts/data/logic/perspective to people who are open to those Pakistanis who are open to that. I also read comments of many reasonable and thinking Pakistanis (LoneLiberal PK, Noman Ansari, Faraz, Ejaaz, Mirza, elementary and Falcon are some examples but by no means a complete list) and that undoubtedly helps me to refine my own thinking.
gp65 "Are you sure the majority is silent or moderate? I Think Rimsha case where she had to be evacuated to an unknown destination for her protection despite the fact that she was 14 year old with Down syndrome and people now know that she was framed by an imam who himself burned Quran pages and added to evidence." My answer is yes it is still moderate otherwise mullah's thurst for blood would have quenched long ago.
@Hasan: religious parties in your country are a sorry figure.
also, can you enumerate, for how long you had democracy in your country?
so, let democracy take root in your country, and then we will see what your religious parties are capable of?
@Cautious: uh uh chill man
It is a terrorists day. Lal Masjid case has also been decided in favor of terrorists and so is this case. Judiciary has repeatedly shown its tilt towards those who murder innocent people. The UN team visiting Pakistan should also interview the Judges.
Hassan, Agreed but pls.don't use the word canser because it is more often a lethal disease I would rather put appendix as more suitable in this situation.
@ayesha azeem:
Who cares about Hindustanis? This mullah is poisoning our own society with his backward hatemongering, and all facets of the state apparatus are too scared to go anywhere near him.
I have no problem with Pakistan having a strong religious lobby, and I have no problem with that religious lobby speaking out against Hindustan's insecure hostility - but when that same lobby turns itself on our own minorities, it becomes nothing more than a cancer, and one which must be rooted out through all means possible.
Hasan
A killer is free.cj has time for two bottles of ms odhoo but no time for human blood.
Our Judiciary is committed to serve terrorists.
Now This guy will plan some more attack. These guys rule Pakistan and they are master of life and death.
@Jat
Ironic that you want Iran to intervene to save the Shia's from the same fate as the Jews. In case you didn't know it Iran thinks the Jewish Holocaust was a myth and seem obsessed with the extermination of the Jewish homeland.
The next thing will be the release of murderer of Gov. Taseer. God help us!
@gp65: Hindus and Christians were hounded out, as they feared backlash from India and western countries. But Ahemdis, Hazaras and Shias are being systematically butchered.
Silent Majority my ---, Our society is willing to do anything in the name of Islam. We are a Fascist state... Minorities of Pakistan beware, if you are not willing roll up your shalwars to join the loony majority and subscribe to their ideology then leave Pakistan save your lives.....
@Jat: "Time for Iran to step in, only Iranians can save the Shias of Pakistan. Or they will face extermination same as what happened to Jews in Nazi Germany."
No need to give example of Jews in Nazi Germany. You could have said Hindus in Pakistan.
@nomi: Well said brother. What is the use of keeping such a huge army who besides crippling the economy of the state cannot even safe-guard its own citizens against these bunch of criminals??
@Acorn Guts: "Malik Ishaq is too powerful to be caught under 295A or the amplifier act and our prosecution is too weak. If we are really serious about putting him away for good then we need to build a proper case against him with enough evidence to support it."
Malik Ishaq is guilty of inciting murder so 295A does not apply. There ae any number of you tube recordings available where he takes ownership for killing Shias and where the organization he leads claims ownership for the same. And the case of Meher Bokhari and Mubasshir Luqman, the judges took notice of a you tube video and grilled the PEMRA chairman, so they can no longer claim that you tube video evidence is not admissible. This person was let go in an earlier case when he threatened in open court that witnesses would be killed. A couple of witnesses WERE killed and so other witnesses refused to speak. Yet his threat in open court and murder of witnesses was not sufficient to nail him. Instead he was let go due to lack of evidence.
@sabi: ".Pakistan you have lost the trust of it’s silent majority"
Are you sure the majority is silent or moderate? I Think Rimsha case where she had to be evacuated to an unknown destination for her protection despite the fact that she was 14 year old with Down syndrome and people now know that she was framed by an imam who himself burned Quran pages and added to evidence.
Pakistan state should now categorically announce that it is state of terrorists, extremists and mullahs who dont have destroyed afghanistan and now doing pakistan. Please United Nation should come and save innocent pakhtoons and shias from these criminals
Time for Iran to step in, only Iranians can save the Shias of Pakistan. Or they will face extermination same as what happened to Jews in Nazi Germany.
Lets sleep over it
nothing new, why you guys are surprised. he is not the only one. Over 1000 of his fellow mates (The killers of 40 thousands) already enjoying the honorable bail from our "Free Judiciary".
Listen, this is all a joke. Nothing ever happens to the monsters in Pakistan. They all get away. There is no justice in Pakistan. Its really all a joke. From the time to time the Shia killings will intensify. Then they will put the brakes for things to cool down and it will all start again. There is no hope for my poor shias in pakistan
While each case against the elected officials start from the SC and end there without a right to appeal to a higher court, all the cases against the terrorists start and crawl in the lowest courts. No progress on any case except the accused are released or treated like Qadri and kept safe without any punishment. The LHC and SC are reserved only for political cases against the elected govt, while the terrorists roam freely.
i agree with nomi. Is it the lack of will or the lack of capability???
He said he will continue to do what he does best. Shia brothers should beware of more attacks now.
What kind of bail we talking about killers, so they can get out of their cage and do more more innocent people after checking their IDs.
Lets look at this way.
7th largest army in the world.
the fastest growing nuclear weapons state.
a million armed personnel from the security forces. .
and we cannot take care of an organization that is essentially made of bandits.
Truely Azaaaaddd Adliaa, its sets free every one / any one who even does not deserve to live :((
Are we really country or a jungle?
Oh we really need to salute our judicial system.Courage needs to be shown in here these cases by our honorable court?Are they only supposed to show their anger over those disobeying court and more precisely them?What about the 1000's of civilians who have become victims to such terrorists?And if they set free such terrorists easily then one can easily predict the future of pitiful civilians.
“provocative speech to spread hatred” during a Khatm-e-Nabuwwat rally near Lahore.
Looking at the irony called Pakistan, it is evident nabuwwat has ended. Now the devils and demons reign supreme.
The Chief Justice a few days back questioned the acquittal of persons accused of terror acts. He should now step in to stop bail of this terrorist accused of murder of scores of innocent people.
Bail granted for a killer of scores at Rs. 500,000.00 and bail granted to an innocent child with down syndrome on false charges at two bonds of Rs.500,000.00 making it a bail at Rs.1000,000.00. Our judicial system plagued with corruption, Mullah mafia, fear and favoritism, stinks in the high heaven. This is high time for our CJ and His Bunch to stop wasting time and resources on a few high profile cases of scums and take care of His kind of Islamic justice.
We restored judiciary and democracy for that day, when murderers of 100 of innocent lives are free to move and free to propagate their hatred while affected ones are living a life of fear.
Malik Ishaq is responsible for 70 targeted killings and it's a shame for CJ of Pakistan that he is free in Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
A group of psychopaths is leading the UMMA......?????
Malik Ishaq proudly owns killing of Shias and his banned of terrorists accepts responibility of every other masacres and slaughters in Pakistan from Karachi to Para Chinar. How in the world, this man can get bail after bail by the judiciary?. The blind judicial system of Pakistan don't view newspapers, tv and youtube?
Nice system: Police register case under irrelevant penal code, and the prosecutor goes along with it (essentially it means the alleged crime was not committed ), the accused challenges it in court and bail application is granted because of mala fide action, and the accused walks free.
Either the police and prosecutors are incompetent or they do it deliberately knowing well how it will end up.
500,000 is a standard bail amount in pakistan?
Malik Ishaq is too powerful to be caught under 295A or the amplifier act and our prosecution is too weak. If we are really serious about putting him away for good then we need to build a proper case against him with enough evidence to support it.
Still, very unfortunate that he's going to walk away yet again.
His previous cases in which he was released for (lack of evidence) needs to be reopened. Notice should be taken of why there was 'lack of evidence' ???
A poor Christian girl was bailed for surety of 10 lac Rupees and a terrorist is bailed for surety of only 5 lac. That's the only reason we don't believe in Mullah justice system. His followers welcomed his bail by bombing Shia's in Parachinar.
Which judge dares to say no to bail?.Pakistan you have lost the trust of it's silent majority
More shame!
