The much anticipated Men’s Fashion Week (MFW) that was scheduled to take place at the end of August, has been delayed due to undisclosed reasons, but organisers say they are trying their best to resolve the issues and put forth a promising show.
“The event has been delayed due to certain problems, which we as a team are tackling,” Munib Nawaz, the spokesperson and creative director of MFW, told The Express Tribune. “We are determined to bring Men’s Fashion Week to Pakistan but putting an event together for the first time has its own share of problems,” he added.
When asked what the complications were, Nawaz said, “No blame games here. Our commitment to the event is sincere.” He further added that they will release all the relevant information soon.
Previously, Nawaz had announced in a press conference that the organisers will be looking for men’s accessory designers to add flavour and funk to what is usually perceived as a subdued fashion scene.
He had further said that men in Pakistan, too, have the right to dress up but sadly the designers and men’s wear producers are not joining hands for the cause.
Many designers agreed that having a mens-only fashion show would be a different and interesting experience. We wish the MFW team the best of luck!
