Power Theft Raid: Fesco workers beaten up

FAISALABAD: A Faisalabad Electric Power Company team was beaten up and illegally detained for trying to disconnect an illegal electricity connection in Chak 629-GB on Wednesday night. The FIR registered in the matter with Lundianwala police stated that about two dozen people attacked and beat up Linemen Rafaqat Waseem, Khaleel Ahmed, Rana Amin, Gulzar Ahmed, Muhammad Qurban and Muhammad Javaid for trying to disconnect an illegal connection from Javaid Iqbal’s house. It said the assailants also snatched official record from the linemen who had raided the village from Faisalabad Subdivision Sarwar Shaheen on complaints of power theft.
