Kidnapping and murder: ATC sentences two men to life

The court has also ordered the seizure of their property.

The Anti-Terrorism Court-I found two men guilty on Tuesday on charges of kidnapping and murdering a man in 2009. Suleman Shah and Naveed Khan were sentenced to life and fined Rs200,000 each.


The court has also ordered the seizure of their property. In the event that Shah and Khan cannot pay the fine, two more years will be added to their 14-year sentence. The men had kidnapped and murdered a man named Khwaja Mohammad Naeem within the precincts of the Gulbahar police station.

The court also heard evidence from a police officer in the case of an alleged extortionist on Tuesday.

The accused Sajjad Ali is charged with extorting money from a manager of a garment factory.

The First Information Report 355/2010 was filed by the PIB police station.
