KARACHI: The Karachi Zoo was evacuated on Tuesday when it learnt of the presence of a suspicious bag inside its premises.

The bomb disposal squad (BDS) members soon reached the place and cleared the park of the large number of people who had come on the second day of Eidul Fitr. However, the BDS members as well as police later claimed that the threat never existed and denied that any suspicious bag was found from the zoo. The area was later reopened for the general public.
