KARACHI:
Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah directed education department officials on Wednesday to do their best to get rid of “copy culture” from examinations taking place in the province, and to control the frequent use of cell phones by students during examinations as well. He also asked them to take action against photo copiers who were acting as enablers in the situation.
Board of Intermediate Education (BISE) Karachi chairman Anwar Ahmed Zai, Board of Secondary Education Karachi chairman Faseehuddin Khan, BISE Sukkur chairman and the BISE Larkana chairman were among those who attended the meeting that Shah was presiding at the Chief Minister House.
While presenting reports about their individual boards, the officials provided details of student enrolment, the number of candidates that appeared in the board examinations, the percentage of successful candidates, and the action that was taken against students who were caught cheating, or found impersonating someone else, during the examinations.
Shah said that there should be a uniform system of examinations that was adopted by all education boards in the province.
He admitted that the quality of education in the province was not up to the mark, but teachers, parents, students and the society at large needed to play their role in improving the overall standard of education.

One curriculum in Pakistan. One examination board in Pakistan. All exams should take place in examinations halls. Install CCTV in all examination halls. Arrest cheaters.
