Mastung attack: Two injured in firing on NATO container

A Nato container was attacked and set on fire, leaving two men injured in the Dasht area of Mastung district, about 40 kilometers away from the provincial capital on Friday.


According to Balochistan Levies the container, carrying goods for Nato forces in Afghanistan, was on its way from Karachi to Chaman when unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire on the container.

Both the driver and maintenance man sustained injuries, and the attackers set the Nato container on fire. Balochistan Levies rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Quetta. They were identified as Abdul Rehman and Mohammad Naeem.

The case has been registered in Levies Thana Dasht in Mastung district against the unidentified persons and an investigation opened.
