Case filed: PML-N MNA’s firm charged with ephedrine misuse

MNA Abbasi terms FIR politically motivated, claims to have done nothing illegal or unlawful.

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has registered a criminal case against the pharmaceutical company of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA from Rawalpindi Muhammad Hanif Abbasi for alleged misuse of 500 kg of ephedrine.


Officials in Anti-Narcotics Force Rawalpindi confirmed to The Express Tribune that the authorities recommended registration of a criminal case against the MNA after a thorough inquiry into the way ephedrine was allocated and how it was used afterwards by the manufacturers.

Later in the evening, talking to different TV channels, MNA Abbasi termed the FIR politically motivated and claimed to have done nothing illegal or unlawful.
