Around 50 journalists from as many as 15 print and electronic media organisations took part in the event but it was Zaman who pipped his competitors with a total of 140 points to receive the winner’s cheque of Rs5,000.
Hussain finished second with 100 points to his name, including three strikes, ahead of ARY One’s Mohsin Raza who also had a total of 100 but had a lower first-round score.
Zaman also led the opening round, finishing with a total of 123 including four strikes. Hussain ended second in the opening game, falling five pins short at 118. Daily Khabrain’s Umar Shaheen was third on the list with a score of 111. Samaa TV’s Ubaid Awan and Waqt TV’s Shoaib Ahmed were among the other bowlers to cross 100 in the first round.
The event was organised by the Sindh Tenpin Bowling Association.
